Client: Østensjø
How can the knowledge of the true expert users radically improve the total design and logistics in an offshore galley and messroom? We facilitated workshops with expert users. Filming. Looping back,- testing the ideas.
The project resulted in a completely new layout improving the logistics in the galley/stores, messroom zones, and design.
Strategy
We facilitated workshops with expert users. Filming. Looping back,- testing the ideas. By involving expert users in the design process we helped Østensjø innovate on safety and improving work environment in galley and mess room
Solution
The project resulted in a completely new layout improving the logistics in the galley/stores. Messroom zones, and
design
Result
The project resulted in a completely new layout improving the logistics in the galley/stores. Messroom zones, and design. We developed new concepts and solutions which now are implemented in the Østensjø fleet. We also pinpointed future areas for innovation and improvement. We are happy that our industrial design way of working has shown clear results and positive effects for the shipowner.
